STS® Turn signal canceller: the change is happening now! Tutorial on Triumph Bonneville

Nadine is a friend, and it’s with friends that the soul of the salesman usually expresses itself the worst – at least that’s my case!

So, when she came to me describing her interest in the concept of the STS Smart Turn System, I remained neutral. Nova Moto has been distributing this concept of automatic turn signal cancelling for 2 years. I confess that I only allowed myself to answer the questions…

It’s only after the purchase, while talking about the assembly, delighted, that I dared to exclaim: « You’ll see, it’s an incredible solution! You’re going to watch your machine to try to catch it in default… It’s strange to explain, so playful, and at the same time, it totally frees the mind to stop thinking about the blinker, it’s as if you’re always projecting yourself towards the future. The moment you take your blinker off, you extend a moment that has already passed. You might as well focus on what’s coming, to better anticipate the traffic!

A genuine motorcycle safety accessory

STS Smart Turn is a huge safety accessory. Especially for those who occasionally forget to turn off their turn signal – sometimes for a long time… Bagster on tank that hides the counters sometimes for kilometers! Ah the ugly excuse 😉

Okay, shall we get down to technique?

1. Description of the Smart Turn System concept

Find the descriptive articles on Nova Moto Le Mag!

2. Machine compatibility

As indicated in the previous papers, 90% of motorcycles are compatible, except those with BUS LIN wiring (Ducati BMW). At the beginning of 2019, developments continue.

3. Installation of the STS automatic turn signal switch-off module

Also to be found on Nova Moto Le Mag, the tutorial on the Z!

4. The assembly on the « Bonnie », Triumph Bonneville Street Twin 900

Here are some pictures of the assembly, knowing that the instructions specify the colours of the wiring by brand. What’s important, and which was perfectly done by Nadine (and Christian), is to prepare, locate the cables, the ideal location of the case, the connectors, protect the bike for the removal of the headlight – depending on the machines – in order to work more easily, methodically.

The smile of the happy biker, thank you for this testimonial Nadine.
Very nice road to you, safe and secure!

And because the change is not only for the bike, here is Nadine with her new …bike, smarter and safer than before!
