Customers’ feedback on CLS EVO automatic chain greaser

This article is complementary to the customer testimonials published -with systematic agreement- in the Contact section and appearing on the red lower footer of Nova Moto Le Mag. Here you will find a real experience feedback, and pictures of Nova Moto customers who have equipped their motorcycle with the new CLS EVO intelligent chain lubricator, perfectly hidden, safe and clean thanks to the electronic distribution by pump, controllable on the handlebars.

In other words, this feedback is particularly valuable for Nova Moto, which needs it every time it launches an innovation to make the products in question better known and, above all, to reassure people who are thinking about their purchase if necessary. The fact that the products referenced on the Nova Moto site are all tested by its founder and manager Isabelle beforehand is an unusual thing. Customer feedback remains unique and essential. Kawasaki Versys 1000, Mr Eric L.

« I enclose some pictures of the system installed on my Versys 1000.

The installation took me a good half day, doing it cleanly (at first I wanted to keep the storage space under the seat, but I gave up the idea, because in this case the installation became too complicated). Now I just have to check the efficiency on the road! »
and, a few days later,
« I would need a little technical information: the CLS Evo is not incompatible with Optimate type battery chargers (i.e. I can charge my battery without having to disconnect the lubrication system)? Thank you in advance.
Answer after confirmation by supplier:
« So I plugged in my Optimate charger while leaving the CLS system connected and … no problem!
The battery was charged normally and the CLS did not start. »
First return after riding:
« Quick little return of use … 1000 km in the Alps last weekend, and no problem, the system works perfectly! So very satisfied 🙂 »

Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak, Mr. Fabrice M.

« I enclose pictures of the assembly of my chain lubricator. I was inspired by your tutorial for the positioning of the display control box, so I didn’t need the missing part…However I thank you for your reactivity to remedy the problem. The assembly took me more than 4 hours…cleaning, assembly etc….
But the result is an « invisible » oiler. »
(Info Nova Moto : the display holder was missing in the package, sent the next day to Mr M. who didn’t need it by fixing it on the dashboard and not on the handlebar).

Honda Africa Twin 2016, Mr Jean D.

« It was my dealer who fitted it on the bike for me! (…) The control in position 3 seems to lubricate the chain properly but there are a lot of oil spots on the rear of the bike, plate and other cases and the end of the chain guard is very greasy! For my part I don’t complain about the result of the automatically greased chain! I lived a riding period of 1100 kms under rain, intense rain and even stormy rain (a 15 hours ordeal over 2 days) where I increased the flow as recommended. But it’s difficult to make an opinion on lubrication: chain not dry, that’s for sure, but not as much oiled as with 3 by these last dry weather for several weeks!
I have done more than 3500 kms with CLS and not yet at the end of the oil stored in the container (but I have not looked at the level recently)!
Note Nova Moto: you can make 12 000 with the 100 ml tank (80-90 ml filling) filled!

For pictures, my machine is so equipped that it would be very difficult to distinguish the CLS without a microscope! Have a nice trip »

Triumph Street Triple R 2016, Mr Serge D.

« I have successfully finished fitting the CLS Evo chain greaser on my Triumph Speed Triple_R 2016.
I spent a lot of time for:
a) Reading (three times) the assembly instructions and understanding all the steps.
b) Thinking about where the cables and tubes would go (as discreetly as possible).
c) The locations to put all the components.

Being a bit of a perfectionist, it still took me three days. If I had to redo this same installation on an identical bike, I would only spend one day.
Also, on the handlebars I had previously equipped my bike with a Coyote case holder + a GPS holder + a control system for the heated gloves. So I still had to find a place and make a stand for the CLS control system.

I rode more than 500km (in two weeks) in dry weather with the CLS, I find my wheel rim very dirty. I think I will decrease the setting to position 4 or even 3.
Soon, I have to do about 1500Km in ten days. I hope that my chain will be lubricated enough with the new setting and that my wheel rim will stay clean. Attached you will find the essential pictures of my installation. »
Note Nova Moto: in dry weather, position 1 or 2 are more than enough and allow an efficient lubrication while keeping the bike clean! See picture below after 300 km of road with Nova Moto’s Z:

Serge D. managed the flow of his CLS Evo on the handlebars to always have the right quantity according to the weather conditions. He has also equipped his 2 Speed Triple with the Go Cruise, a speed controller that relieves the strain on your right hand over long distances (while making sure you respect the use of the accessory) and prevents you from excessive speed…

 

 

As a conclusion, it should be noted that the assembly time is estimated at a minimum of 1.5 hours, as there is a consideration of the positioning to be done, sometimes side covers to be dismantled, etc… For purists and aesthetes, the assembly can be much longer. But that’s what we like to do at Garage Party, isn’t it?
